The following photographs are of railroad cars on the ranch of Tom Carillo. The cars were converted into temporary housing for migrant workers under the Brazero program (1942-1964). The program allowed Mexican migrant workers to temporarily work in the United States when the economy recovered after the great depression and labor demand rose during World War II.
